We brought you news of the 4p fish and chips offer earlier this week.
Now we go one better with… FREE BEER!
If it sounds like a magic offer, well, that’s because it is. The free beer is courtesy of wizardy Shambles shop The Potions Cauldron.
Brewer Ainsty Ales has created Spellbound Butterscotch Beer for the shop, which sells all sorts of potions and lotions.
Described as a ‘spellbinding beer for wizards’, the 4.5% ale is on handpull behind the counter.
While stocks last
But owner Phil Pinder doesn’t yet have an alcohol licence for the premises. An application is in, but until it is granted, he cannot legally sell the beer.
So he is giving it away!
Every weekend for the next few weeks, while stocks last, you can enjoy one drink of Spellbound on the house.
All Phil asks is that drinkers to make a donation to St Leonard’s Hospice so everyone is a winner.
He told YorkMix:
-
We’re very excited to add Spellbound Butterscotch Beer to our range of potions.
This is a special treat for grown-up witches and wizards. And it is free for all – for a spell at least!
Phil launched The Potions Cauldron, complete with hidden room, last October and it has proved a real hit with visitors and residents alike.
