A motorbike rider suffered life-changing injuries in an accident south of York.
The collision happened on Wheldrake Lane between Escrick and Wheldrake at about 2.55pm on Sunday (June 24).
It involved a red Vauxhall Vectra and a red Ducati Panigale V4 motorbike.
The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old man from Pontefract, sustained serious injuries to his legs. He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance, where he remains in a serious condition.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 77-year-old man from Escrick, was unhurt.
The road was closed to allow the poice collision investigation team to examine the scene and for the vehicles to be recovered. The road was reopened at 7.15pm.
Officers from the roads policing group are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances around the incident and want witnesses to contact them.
They are requesting anyone who saw the collision, or either the car or the motorbike prior to the incident, to get in touch.
