Now that Berwick is bringing down the final curtain on his panto career, tickets are like gold dust.

The announcement by Berwick Kaler that this year’s show The Grand Old Dame of York will be his last has sparked a run on the box office.

More than 5,000 tickets were sold in the first four days after the announcement that Berwick is bowing out as dame after 40 years.

Tickets are still available for the production, which runs until February 2, but demand is heavy.

They can be booked in person at the theatre, by telephone (01904 623568) or online.
