If you find your bus driver is Batman on Friday don’t panic.

You aren’t in some strange dream – it’s just Transdev superhero day.

Transdev, the company behind the Coastliner and Cityzap services which take York passengers to the coast and Leeds respectively, will be having a comic book moment on Friday, March 10.

Bus drivers and staff are to pay a minimum of £1 to become their chosen superhero in a day of fun and fundraising.

A year of fun

How York will look on Friday

All money raised will go to support real-life heroes via the charity Help For Heroes, which provides support to service personnel and military veterans.

Transdev CEO Alex Hornby said:

Our amazing people chose to support the Help for Heroes charity themselves at the start of this year, and this Superhero Day is only the beginning of a whole calendar of fun events to support this great cause throughout 2017.

Passengers can add their own donation on the buses, and there’ll be bus-themed goodies to win.
