The news of the new lockdown starting on Thursday means that the Autumn Lights event will have to moved to another date. It’s been announced today (Monday) that will be 17th December 2020.
It was going to be a spectacle of light featuring a huge fireworks display with music, a hot air balloon night glow, street food and fire shows at Elvington on Thursday November 5th.
The organisers issued this statement on Friday:
“Following the announcement by the Prime Minister, we are now working on confirming a new date at Elvington Airfield in mid December.
Our Covid secure event concept has been rigorously risk assessed and planned to allow our customers safe enjoyment of the event.
We will be looking to amend our refund policy for those who cannot attend the new dates.”

To give the event a special festive twist we have added a magical Santa’s Sleigh Parade with Christmas themed entertainers all backed by a seasonal soundtrack.
However, if you are unable to attend the new dates, our ticket agent Fatsoma will be in touch via email with instructions on how to get a refund.
