Appeal to find 14-year-old York boy
York police are appealing for a 14-year-old boy to make contact after being missing for three days.
Corey Gorst from York is believed to be staying with friends in the city but due to his age and lack of contact with his family, police need to speak to him to ensure he is safe and well.
Corey was reported missing by his father on Friday 26 April 2013 and police have been carrying out extensive enquiries since then to locate him.
Corey is described as white, 5ft 9in in height, of slim build and has brown hair and blue eyes. The last time he was seen he was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black waterproof jacket, red and white top and Nike trainers.
Corey has spoken to his father a couple of times by telephone but officers need to see him to ensure he is safe and well.
Inspector Neil Drummond of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would like to make a direct appeal to Corey to get in touch with us. Corey you are not in trouble, we just need to ensure that you are safe and well. Your family are worried about you.
“I would also like to appeal to anyone who has seen Corey or knows where he is now to contact us without delay.”
Anyone with any information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
