The York Balloon Fiesta launched last year and despite some pretty grubby weather was a hit. This year’s forecast is much kinder, and the spectacle is set to be even more colourful. Includes a firework finale on Saturday night.
This year’s York Food Festival comes to an end on Sunday. Still loads more to enjoy, including chef star turns from the likes of Tommy Banks to hands-on fun at the food factory. And on Saturday the Parliament Street market spills over on to Fossgate, with a particular emphasis on Yorkshire micro-producers.
