Motorcycle Wheelie World Championship
What could be more thrilling than seeing motorbikes speeding by at 200mph? Bikes doing just that – on one wheel! Sounds amazing, and not bonkers at all. Head over to Elvington Airfield this Saturday and Sunday – more here.

It will be a bit like that on Sunday morning when hundreds of dancers will be filmed dancing around the likes of High Petergate and Lendal in York for a new BBC show. Go and take a gander: it’s free. Castle Howard Proms
Anything the Albert Hall can do, Castle Howard can do better, and with more fireworks… The annual proms spectacular sees guest soloist Aled Jones and soprano Janet Mooney belting out the classical hits with the English National Orchestra.
