Animals in war

It isn’t only humans who join the armed forces

A new exhibition at York Army Museum explores the bizarre, amazing and touching stories of animals who have served with the British Army, from horses and dogs, to deer and monkeys. It’s very family friendly and hands-on, and runs till June. More here

T Rex tribute


T Rex burned brightly but briefly. Between 1970 and 1973 they scored 11 top ten singles, classics like Get It On, Metal Guru and 20th Century Boy. Forty years after Marc Boland’s death, official tribute band T.Rextasy bring that unique sound to the Grand Opera House. Sunday nightmore here
