It was, appropriately enough, freezing. But that didn’t stop thousands of people heading into York this weekend to enjoy this year’s ice trail.
With 45 ice sculptures, paid for by various city business and created by Glacial Arts, it was the biggest event of its kind in Britain.
Dragons, reindeer, Vikings, trains and penguins were all on show at the event organised at Make It York.
