A cyclist suffered a broken jaw after a collision with a car in York.
The accident happened at 5.50pm on Friday, October 27, and saw a black car colliding with the 18-year-old cyclist, causing him to fall off his bike.
The black vehicle then drove off from the scene.
The cyclist sustained cuts and bruises as well as breaking his jaw. He was treated at York Hospital.
York police are conducting enquiries and want the public’s help to identify the vehicle and driver involved.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.”
The suspected driver has been described as a white man in his 30s, approximately 5ft 8in tall, unshaven and with dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should police.
