The stars were out in York this weekend as scenes were shot for the smash ITV drama Victoria.

Photographs

Jenna Coleman, playing Queen Victoria, and Laurence Fox as her Foreign Secretary Lord Palmerston, were among a cast dozens strong who took over the Eye of York.

York Crown Court was standing in for Dublin City Hall for scenes which saw the young queen visit the Irish capital.

Meanwhile, Lady Peckett’s Yard was strewn with laundry for more evocative Victorian scenes.

Several York roads were closed for most of the weekend to enable filming. Victoria is also being shot at other Yorkshire locations, as well as Church Fenton Studios.
