The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Marsden and Stalybridge on the main line between York/Selby and Manchester
Due to a fire in Standedge Tunnel under the Pennines, all lines are closed. The tunnel is over 3 miles long. Staff are on site working to resolve the situation.
As a result of this, trains are unable to operate and will either be cancelled or diverted via an alternative route. Trains that divert between Leeds and Manchester Victoria will not call at Huddersfield or Stalybridge.
Disruption to services is expected until the end of the day.
