A York shop shut its doors for the last time on Sunday (March 15) after the owner said it was impossible to continue trading.
Alternative clothing retailer Heaven Forbid has shut its Stonegate store but will continue to trade online.
The business has been selling “awesome clothing and accessories to rockers, punks and metalheads” since 2009. Its clothing range includes T-shirts, jeans, hoodies and shoes, and it also sells accessories like belts, bags, jewellery and badges.
Owner Kelly Brown revealed the closure “with a huge amount of sadness” on the shop’s Facebook page.
She wrote:
The last few months have been extremely difficult, and this is probably the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.
She thanked her customers. While Kelly plans to develop the online store, she said “I will miss seeing your friendly smiley faces”.
Customers reacted with sadness at the news.
