Missing teenager Darren Boyd was found safe and well on Friday evening (January 30), police have revealed.
Darren, 15, from the Boroughbridge Road area of the city, had last been seen by his family at 8pm on Wednesday (January 28).
Detectives thanked everyone who had helped in the appeal to find him.

Search for missing Darren, 15, extends to Manchester
A 15-year-old York boy is missing from home and the police are appealing for the public’s help to find him.
Darren Patrick Boyd, from the Boroughbridge Road area of the city, was last seen by his family at 8pm on Wednesday (January 28).
Although it is believed Darren has not come to harm and left home by his own choice, his family and police remain concerned for his wellbeing. Detectives described him as “in an emotional frame of mind”.
On Friday (January 30) York police revealed the search for Darren had extended to cover the Manchester area.
A photograph of Darren has been circulated in York and Manchester.

Inspector Andy Richardson, of the York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Darren’s family are worried sick about him and they need to know he is safe and well.
“We are doing all we can to support the family while the police team is actively searching for him across the city.
“If anyone has information that could assist the missing person inquiry, including any sighting of a teenage boy matching Darren’s description since 8pm on Wednesday, please contact the police.”
York police’s Inspector Jon Asvadi made this direct appeal to the missing schoolboy.
