City of York Council is asking for volunteers to help them redesign the new council’s website.
“We want to make the council’s website easier and quicker for people to use as well as make more of our services available to book, pay for or find out about online,” said Michal Czekajlo, volunteer coordinator at the council.
“We are looking for volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, ability and familiarity with digital technology to make sure the new site will meet everyone needs.”
Volunteers will form a focus group to help our web team build the specification for the new site and give us feedback during its development.
There will be couple focus group meetings in August and September 2014 (dates to be confirmed). Based on volunteer comments new test website will be created and in November volunteers will be invited to participate in testing.
Focus group sessions will be taking place in West Offices on Station Rise in York.
Potential volunteers should e-mail Michal on [email protected] or ring on 01904 551841
Deadline for potential volunteers to apply is Friday, July 18 at 5pm.
