Musical master of ceremonies Jools Holland is returning to York with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra – and this time he’s bringing Melanie C.
Back for the third year running, Jools will hit town on Thursday, November 21. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 8, at 10am, priced £35.50.
With long time drummer Gilson Lavis, vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall and acclaimed trombonist Rico Rodriguez, the man from BBC2’s Later show will perform tracks spanning his entire solo career, as well as songs taken from his latest album The Golden Age Of Song, which was released in December.
Three million album selling pop icon and former Spice Girl Melanie C will be joining Jools and his orchestra on stage in this tour. Melanie C’s solo musical career has seen two Number 1 singles, six top 10 singles as well as performances on the theatre stage in Blood Brothers and a groundbreaking arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar last year.
