Homes on a Ripon street were evacuated after a large sinkhole opened up today (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to the incident on North Road at 3.26pm.
The hole was near to a home on the street.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews confirmed a sink hole measuring 5m by 5m and a depth of about 2m.
“Crews evacuated nearby residents and isolated the utilities to the affected property.
“Advice given to a responsible person with crews arranged to revisit tomorrow.”
