Good news for both drinkers and job seekers – details have been revealed about a large bar due to open in York this November.
Award winning chain The Botanist is set to launch their 11th site in York. As we revealed in April the pub and restaurant, operated by The New World Trading Company, will be located in the former Mulberry Hall store on Stonegate.
Covering a total of 5,000 sq ft the new venue will serve up a range of botanical cocktails, world beers, and a handpicked selection of gins, local to each of The Botanist sites.
As for food, customers will be able to enjoy deli-inspired boards, and a rotisserie and BBQ-based menu.
The Botanist York will also host live music with daily energetic evening gigs and lazy Sunday afternoon sessions with a real home-from-home atmosphere.
Lots of jobs
The opening of The Botanist York will create up to 60 jobs for locals within the area.
Those interested in working for the company, voted Best Employer at The Publican Awards, are invited to attend two recruitment days on the 4th and 5th of October at Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel on Shipton Road, York.
Please contact [email protected] or call Jennie Bell on 07812 668548 prior to attending.
The general manager has already been appointed. Ciara Appleton Mcdaid has more than 11 years of industry experience, and previously managed The Botanist in Newcastle.
CEO of the New World Trading Company Chris Hill said:
It’s great to be able to bring so many jobs to the city and we’re delighted to already have Ciara on board as we begin the recruitment process.
The new venue follows the already existing sites in Manchester, Chester, Alderley Edge, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Marlow, Farnham, Knutsford and soon to be Sheffield.
