From being a forgetful angel aged 17 to the Virgin Mary six years later, Dame Judi will never forget those special, not to say rainy, performances in Museum Gardens.
No sign of Noah, so the Archbishop of York took to his ark. Fortunately Dr Sentamu’s not planning on sailing the Ouse floodwaters, but was there to publicise the Mystery Plays in his role of patron. The ark was made by York College students.
